Two Point Seven Facades Ltd provided a full turn-key package. We performed the design, manufacture and installation of a free standing aluminium Brise soleil system, providing shading, reducing passive solar heat gains.
Building Description
A contemporary single storey building offering stunning views towards Conwy Castle and Walls. With a green roof which blends into Bodlondeb Park’s leafy surroundings and landscaped grounds featuring an external reading court and garden. Conwy Culture Centre is an innovative co-location project that features:
External Works
Two Point Seven Facades specified the use of our 200mm extruded aluminium elliptical aerofoil, set at 230mm pitch, to provide adequate solar shading to the glazed facade below. The brise soleil system was connected to a galvanised steel supporting structure using aluminium extruded secret fix clips.
Additional Works
Combining our structural engineer and design team we designed a structure to support the louvre canopy. The entire system needed to be independent of the buildings structure and curtain walling system. We used CHS galvanised steel post, which was connected to concrete pad stones buried under the paving and landscaping.
