Summary
Two Point Seven Facades Ltd were appointed to design, manufacture and install aluminium juliet balconies and balustrades to four apartment blocks. The finishes applied represent the benefits of using a system comprising solely of aluminium with the external balconies coated in Anolok look-a-like PPC, or Anodic PPC, and internal balustrades coated to a very high metallic Starlight Sable.
Building Description
An apartment Block renovated from a Former Magistrates Court that is planned to house 30 Apartments and/or Homes for rent along with multiple Buildings to also be constructed. A multi-million pound project has been planned since the following closure of the court in 2011.
External Works
Aluminium balcony balustrade system, comprising of extruded aluminium rails, 60mm x 20mm rectangular, with a 50mm extruded aluminium rectangular spindle set at >100mm centres to suit building regulation. Rails span between extruded aluminium post and masonry, secured using a secret fix aluminium bracket, which suit the profile of the handrail to provide a seamless finish. Juliet balconies are available in a variety of finishes.
Internal Works
Aluminium balustrade system, comprising of extruded aluminium rails, 50mm in diameter, with a 16mm sq extruded aluminium spindle set at >100mm centres so suit building regulation. Rails span continuously across posts, connected using a discreet bracket, to comply with regulation.
