Safeguarding the health, safety and welfare of our staff at work is of paramount importance and we strive to provide working environments that are safe and without risk to health.
There are a host of inherent risks associated with construction. Typically roles involve working at height, handling materials, operating potentially dangerous plant and equipment and moving heavy loads. Site operatives are at risk from excavation work, being struck by moving objects, crushed by vehicles and falls from height. In addition, employees are at risk of inhaling dust, suffering injuries due to vibrating tools and experiencing hearing loss due to persistent exposure to loud noises.
Sobering Statistics
If you ever need to be reminded of the dangers of construction work, simply take a look at the statistics produced by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE). In terms of work-related illnesses and diseases, vibration white finger, occupational deafness, dermatitis, carpal tunnel syndrome, asbestosis and mesothelioma.

Given the clear risks associated with construction, it’s vital that all companies and their operatives take the issue of health and safety seriously. This page is an opportunity for Two Point Seven Facades to reflect on the constant development of our industry.
Architectural Facades provide aesthetically pleasing visuals to any unsightly façade and whilst we enjoy what we do, with laughs along the way, safety is no laughing matter. With this page we aim to confront, what we believe to be, unsafe practices within our industry as and when they occur. For example, climate change and its effect on working environments.
We will offer solutions on how Two Point Seven Facades would overcome such unsafe practices, by offering guidance or developing new systems to combat these issues.
Topics include products we consider our 'bread and butter'. Brise soleil (solar shading) & louvres; balustrade, handrails and Juliet balconies; and, canopies.
