Project: Stockwood Park Academy
Contractor: Watson & Cox
Architect: GSS Architecture
Product: 145 Elliptical Louvre System
Two Point Seven Facades Ltd provided a full turn-key package. We performed the design, manufacture and installation of aluminium Brise Soleil Canopy Louvres system, providing shading to the south elevation, reducing passive solar heat gains.
Stockwood Park Academy, built in 1967, is part of The Shared Learning Trust. There was a new two-storey block added to the sixth form with new teaching rooms, a common area and a food technology room.
Two Point Seven Facades specified the use of our 145mm extruded aluminium elliptical aerofoil, set at 160mm pitch and projecting 1200mm from structure, to provide adequate shading to the windows below. The brise soleil system was built into panels for direct connection back to first fix aluminium brackets.
