Two Point Seven Facades Ltd provided a full turn-key package. We performed the design, manufacture and installation of aluminium Brise Soleil system, providing solar shading to the school on the west, south and east south facing elevation, reducing passive solar heat gains. Including a perforated panels to conceal steel between glazing.
The Western Expansion Secondary School was completed in December 2020 costing a total of £40 million and designed to house a capacity of 1,800 Students from 11 to 16 Years Old.
There's a three-story main building along with a Sports Hall and other external works such as a Car Park with Cycling Facilities for staff and for Visitors along with Sports Pitches and Playing Fields.
Two Point Seven Facades Ltd specified the use of a 780 rectangular extruded box section. The rectangular box section was designed to achieve a maximum span of 3m and be supported only at each end using a 5mm laser cut endplate connected to a steel column. This extrusion is a 3 part clip together Brise Soleil system, which when installed provides a seamless 780mm rectangular box section.
Two Point Seven Facades Ltd specified the use of a Aluminium Perforated Panels. This panel was manufactured to fit the custom design on the Façade and Installation was efficient due to the Engineered Bracket Design.
