Building Description
West Hendon Broadway was a developed by Clarion Housing Group. Clarion Housing Group combine public and private funding to provide affordable housing to those who cannot meet there housing needs. The development includes 44 apartments of varying size and contains a secure underground car park.
External Works
Two Point Seven Facades specified the use of our 100Z blade, aluminium louvre system, set to 120mm pitch, mounted onto our narrow section profile cut mullion system, which is one of the most efficient systems for maximum airflow available.
There was very specific air-flow requirements to plant screen expected of the system, to provide adequate ventilation to the underground car park, to exhaust dangerous fumes. Which meant we had to perform suitable calculations to determine a suitable free area required and what pitch, of the louvre, is required to provide the air-flow expected of the system.
Other Works
To form part of our contract, we had also been asked to provide the external glass balustrade to the walk out balconies. The glass balustrades comprised of stainless steel 316 post, pre-assembled with stainless steel 316 glass clamps, base plates and cover caps. Infill panel comprised of a 13.5mm toughened lamintated glass panel. With a continuous 44mm OD stainless steel 316 handrail.
